The dual event game at Caboolture, the normal Stableford and the 1st round of the WCM Single Matchplay saw 23 players turn out for the event. Caboolture fairways had never looked better, the greens were difficult having dew on them for the first few holes, but as soon as the sun warmed up the morning they became difficult to judge as far as speed goes. It was a pity the bunkers were not in as good as a condition as the rest of the course.

The Single Stableford event was won by Cam Smith with runner up Russell Smith (the big daddy) both on 36 points, as were 3 other players so a 5 player countback was required.
