The RSL Social Golf Club members gathered at their home club for another enjoyable day of golf, with players looking forward to testing their skills on the course and competing in the ongoing club competitions.

The highlight of the day was the WCM Singles Matchplay Semi-Final, the final 4 players being Pete Evans - Mark Larsen - Greg Chippendale - Ernie Hall.

Matchplay golf can be a demanding test of concentration and consistency, with every hole presenting an opportunity to gain an advantage over an opponent. The successful players would earn the right to contest the final and move one step closer to claiming the
2026 Wamuran Country Meats Singles Matchplay title

Greg took the game from Ernie at the 16th hole 3 & 2, while Pete and Mark were tied after the 18th hole, so back to the tee for an extra hole where Pete won the match 1 up.

Congratulations to all players who took part in the day's competition, and best wishes to the finalists as they prepare for the deciding match.

The Single Stableford game of the day, was won by John Estreich with in impressive 43 pts with David Stebbings taking the runner up position on 41pts, both very impressive scores, thanks to everyone who participated and helped make the day a success.

The NAGA which is the name given to the player who came last in the field was won by a player that has been so consistent over the past 10 years or so, maintaining a high degree of competency over every aspect of the game of golf.
The members were amazed when Ernie called out the NAGA winner  for today's game, but as they say Mr Paul Hagger,  when you are at the bottom the only way is up.
